Service Description
The 5 Foundations of Action and Staged Intimacy for the Working Actor This course is designed to be a fun and informative “dip of the toe” into the basics of theatrical and cinematic combat, staged intimacy, performance capture, and prop firearms safety and techniques. We’ll explore the fundamentals and partner up to demonstrate and perform exciting and evocative moments of staged violence and romance. Each class will view some sample scenes featuring the theme of the class to show what we are aiming for as far as execution and commitment. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in (like workout attire) and sturdy shoes with rubber soles. Bring a closable water bottle, as well. Content Advisory: We will be exploring many aspects of theatrical violence that some participants may find difficult to take part in for any number of reasons. We embrace boundaries and consent in this course. You are in charge of you. Students may opt out and observe, without needing to explain why you choose to do so. At the same time, we encourage you to challenge yourself and push your limits. Because, isn’t that why you're here…? Thank you, and I can’t wait to see what you can do, Hero!
